Everyone with little to no knowledge of PHP can install it.  With this tutorial, you will learn that how to install the Joomla from beginning.  Basically, there are two ways to install Joomla i.e. Fantastico and manually.  We will learn that how to install it with both methods.

Method 1: Installing Joomla through Fantastico
Installing Joomla through Fantastico is like 1, 2, and 3. No specific skills are required and you can install with few steps.

Fantastico is a popular system and a web based installer for the Cpanel hosting server.  If your website is hosted on the Linux based server then your hosting control panel must have Fantastico.
You can install the Joomla through Fantastico through the below steps.

Step1: Open your hosting control panel and select Fantastico.

Step 2: On the next page click the Joomla 1.5 under the content management system.  Click the new installation from the right side.

Step 3: Fill out all the required fields i.e. select your domain name for which you want to install Joomla. In the “Install in Directory” column leave the box blank if you want to install on the root.  Provide the admin access data like email and password and also provide the base configuration information.  When all the fields are filled click the Install Joomla button at the bottom.

It will take few seconds and your Joomla will be installed on your selected domain. It will also create the database.   You will get the admin user id and password in the email that you provided before.

Once the Joomla is installed successfully, you can visit the home page and go to the admin section of Joomla. The email will contain the important information i.e. user id and password so keep it safely.

Method 2: Installing Joomla Manually

The second method of installing the Joomla is to install it manually.

Step1: Download the latest version of the Joomla from www.joomla.org

Step2: Unzip all the files in a directory on your hard disk.

Step3: Select all the files and upload to your server.  When the uploading is completed access the “Install directory” with the following URL.
